Boston Beagle Races at Aintree

After a cold night camping The Boston Beagle Race Team raced at Aintree, Wednesday 13th September, where they would have to overcome many challenges through the day.

They got set up bright and early and started adjusting the car ready for the race ahead. After the Greenpower event organisers gave the okay for the car, the practises went ahead. The practises went well with driver Macey having the quickest lap around the course.

When race 1 started everything was going incredibly well. Until a driver went around the corner – one car had crashed into another the car forcing the Boston Beagle driver to swerve and luckily get out of the way before they got hit.

The rest of the race went well with the driver that avoided a crash having a quick lap time and everyone being good at taking the corners and going at a very good speed.

The second race was going well until the driver changeover the car pulled into the pits and when they braked the car made a massive bang and the cars wheel had come off. The steering also locked but luckily the experienced engineers were able to fix it and the rest of the race went well.

At the end of the day they came third and went home (tired) but happy with their victory. From the Young Journalist Academy we would like to congratulate you on your victory and we hope that your next race goes just as well.
